Food Baskets

One of the major risk factors for sex trafficking is hunger. Recruiters find young vulnerable people who are starving, or live in constant fear of starving, and begin to offer them a “way out.” We look for at-risk families and make sure they have food to make it through the week so that they won’t think that selling themselves or their children is the only way to survive.

We started JCH to ensure that local knowledge and expertise guided our efforts to fight trafficking. Recently, donations from Brazilians in Sao Paulo have added to the number of food baskets we can provide. Together, we can help protect up to 15 families.
