Alessandra Kelley
Alessandra Kelley grew up in both São Paulo and Côrrego da Volta, Brazil. She worked as a marketing manager in Sao Paulo for several years and then served as a missionary in Argentina and Brazil for a total of 10 years. After relocating to the US, she worked with several law enforcement agencies as a volunteer verbal self-defense instructor, and also taught Jiu Jitsu. She then opened her own self-defense business, Spark, in order to train business teams and individuals. She has volunteered in a variety of positions with the FBI and TSA. She is a licensed private investigator in the state of Oregon and a licensed Judicial Forensics Investigator in Sao Paulo, Brazil. After leading a short campaign trip to Ceará, Brazil, she founded Hear the Cry – Brazil and Justice Compassion and Hope in the US to work on longer-term efforts to help at-risk communities near where she spent her childhood. She is an international motivational speaker, a passionate advocate for women’s rights, a defender of survivors of sexual assault, a warrior against human trafficking, and a source of empowerment for all survivors. She now dedicates herself full-time to fight and prevent human trafficking in northeastern Brazil, through Justice Compassion and Hope.
